Ratibida columnifera, commonly known as upright prairie coneflower or Mexican hat, is a perennial species of flowering plant in the genus Ratibida family Asteraceae. It grows up to 120 centimetres (47 inches) tall with leaves 2.5–15 cm (1–6 in) long. It is native to much of North America and inhabits prairies, plains, roadsides, and disturbed areas from southern Canada through most of the United States to northern Mexico.
